2022 Affinity Caucuses

ASIAN AMERICAN NATIVE HAWAIIAN PACIFIC ISLANDER CAUCUS

ANCHORED BY

The Asian American Federation, APIAVote, NAKASEC, and New Virginia Majority are excited to host this year’s AANHPI Caucus at the National Immigrant Inclusion Conference (NIIC).

Amidst an ongoing pandemic, continuing anti-AANHPI hate, and considerable political turmoil across the country including the overturning of Roe v Wade, pivotal midterm elections, and redistricting, it is critical for AANHPI-serving organizations to remain connected.

This year’s Caucus will include a panel of community leaders, issue-specific workshops, and networking events so that attendees from organizations large and small can help answer three overarching questions during our time together:

  1. As one of the fastest-growing communities in the country, how are AANHPI organizations building momentum to address our own needs and concerns while finding commonality and intersectionality with other communities?

  2. How did the NIIC measure up this year in terms of incorporating diverse AANHPI viewpoints and perspectives?

  3. What lessons, strategies, and tactics can attendees take home to further their work in these regards?
