NIIC Program
NIIC’s program addresses the pressing issues facing immigrant and refugee communities in the United States -- from longstanding, day-to-day issues to new developments and breaking policy shifts alike.
Informed by input from a national Call for Proposals shared with the entire NIIC stakeholder community each year, the program is built by national Planning Teams that include leaders from our National and Regional Partners, Steering Committee, Track Planning Teams and more.
Across the program, we seek to uplift the diversity and breadth of America’s immigrant and refugee communities and the entire field working on these issues. The voices and perspectives of directly affected individuals, those whose are often marginalized, and those at the leading edge/front lines are a priority. NIIC’s Program Planning teams lead their work with an intersectional analysis and attention to diversity, authentic and engaged representation, as well as to ensuring that best practices, innovative strategies, stories of success and inspiration, and candid conversation about the challenges in our work are addressed throughout. Typically, more than 250+ speakers and performing artists are featured each year at NIIC.
