Congressman Steny Hoyer serves Maryland’s Fifth Congressional District and is the House Democratic Whip for the 115th, where he is charged with mobilizing the party vote on important legislation, acting as a liaison between Members and the Democratic Leadership, and coordinating strategy within the Caucus. Throughout his career he has been as a tireless fighter for economic development and a leader in creating jobs; protecting the planet’s natural resources; and meeting the transportation needs of his constituents. He previously served as House Majority Leader and as Chair of the Democratic Caucus. He received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
Castro
Congressman Joaquin Castro represents Texas’s 20th Congressional District and serves on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and serves House Democratic Leadership as Chief Deputy Whip. Outside of the legislative chamber, Joaquin has demonstrated a strong commitment to his community. He created the Trailblazers College Tour, raising money to send underprivileged students on college visits; founded SA READS, San Antonio’s largest literacy campaign and book drive; and is active on several boards, including the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials’ (NALEO) Taskforce on Education.
Schwartzwald
Liza Schwartzwald is a Manager of Education Policy at the New York Immigration Coalition. She focuses on Early Childhood Education and Care, Adult Literacy, and Two-Generation work, and works to uplift educational opportunities for immigrant families and English Language Learners in New York in a holistic and integrated way. She previously worked as a Policy and Advocacy Associate at United Neighborhood Houses. Liza holds a dual bachelors degree from Florida Atlantic University in History and Interdisciplinary Humanities, an MSW from Fordham University, and a JD from Emory University School of Law. She is barred to practice law in New York State.
Norouzi
Roxana Norouzi serves as the Deputy Director for OneAmerica, where she oversees the organizing, policy, and campaign work of the organization. She also serves as Vice-President of the Children’s Alliance Board of Directors; a faculty instructor at the University of Washington in the School of Public Health; and a member of the King County Best Starts for Kids Children and Youth Advisory Board. Previously, Roxana was the Board President of the Seattle Globalist and an appointee to the City of Seattle’s Immigrant and Refugee Commission.
Henderson
Ash-Lee Woodard Henderson is the Co-Executive Director of the Highlander Research & Education Center in New Market, Tennessee. She has served as president of the Black Affairs Association at East Tennessee State University and the Rho Upsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is a long-time activist working around issues of mountaintop removal mining, and environmental racism in central and southern Appalachia, and has served on the National Council of the Student Environmental Action Coalition. She is an active participant in the Movement for Black Lives and is on the governance council of the Southern Movement Assembly.
Menendez
Senator Bob Menendez was elected in 2006 and he has since earned a reputation for his international leadership , which pairs with his long-time reputation as a fighter for New Jersey families who puts their economic security ahead of powerful special interests. He serves on the Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, championing increased corporate accountability, fairness in lending, and affordable housing. Previously he served as Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and as Chairman of the Banking Subcommittee on Housing, Transportation and Community Development. Bob received his B.A. from St. Peter's College in Jersey City and his law degree from Rutgers University.

Bob Bland is the Co-President of the Women’s March and the CEO and Founder of Manufacture New York (MNY), a social enterprise that is rethinking the fashion ecosystem (design, development, distribution) for the 21st century. She is an international speaker and advocate for domestic manufacturing, ethical supply chains and design entrepreneurship education, and has presented Manufacture New York as a case study in Copenhagen, Seoul, Los Angeles, Raleigh, Las Vegas, Washington D.C. and NYC.
Wong
Tom K. Wong is an associate professor of political science at the University of California, San Diego and recently served as an advisor to the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (WHIAAPI) under the Obama administration. His research focuses on the politics of immigration, citizenship, and migrant "illegality." Wong's research has been used by policymakers both in the U.S. and in Mexico, as well as by organizations that serve immigrant communities. Wong also consults on campaigns, focusing on mobilizing immigrant voters and low-propensity voters of color.
Whipple
Richard Whipple is the Deputy Director of the SF Office of Civic Engagement of Immigrant Affairs (OCEIA), where he currently oversees the department’s programs, including immigrant assistance initiatives; workforce and professional development programs; and the immigrant integration community grants portfolio. In his nine years at OCEIA, Rich has helped launch several landmark initiatives including the SF Pathways to Citizenship Initiative and two professional development programs for immigrant and low income residents. Before joining OCEIA, Rich spent five years in public education as a Behavioral Health Specialist. Rich earned his Masters in Public Administration from the University of Southern California
Wen
Dr. Leana Wen is the President of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and the Planned Parenthood Action Fund. Before joining Planned Parenthood, Dr. Wen served as the Baltimore City Health Commissioner, where she oversaw more than 1,000 employees with an annual budget of $130 million; two clinics that provide more than 18,000 patients with reproductive health services; and mental health programs in 180 Baltimore schools. A board-certified emergency physician, Dr. Wen was a Rhodes Scholar, Clinical Fellow at Harvard, consultant with the World Health Organization, and professor at George Washington University.

Jennifer Wang is the Deputy Director of Programs and in senior leadership at the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum (NAPAWF), where she is responsible for guiding, implementing, and evaluating the organization's programmatic and policy strategies. Previously, Jennifer held senior roles at TICAS and Young Invincibles, and began her career at NARAL Pro-Choice America. She has developed an expertise in a variety of policy areas including reproductive health, higher education and student debt, predatory lending, and workforce development. Jennifer has degrees from UCLA and a J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law.
Tule-Romain
Lorena Tule-Romain is the Director of DACA Corps Member Support at Teach for America, where she recruits and supports over 240 DACAmented teachers. She has maintained a diverse range of functions through her time at TFA but always manages to have students at the center of her work. Prior to working at TFA Lorena was a teacher assistant and an activist for young undocumented students. Lorena’s passion for education equity comes from personal experience growing up as an undocumented student living in a low-income community in Texas.
Tuell
Laura Tuell is the Firmwide head of Pro Bono at Jones Day Law Firm, and continues her efforts as an active pro bono practitioner representing numerous immigrants seeking asylum. Laura also has experience in housing discrimination, voting rights, landlord-tenant law, and death penalty issues. She was instrumental in working with the D.C. Bar to create the Free Legal Advice and Referral Clinic and has participated in that clinic for more than 10 years. Laura is chair of the board of the Capital Area Immigrants' Rights Coalition and secretary of the board of Bread for the City.
Tonova
Nadia El-Zein Tonova serves as the Director of National Partnerships for ACCESS, the nation’s largest Arab American community organization. Prior to serving in this role, she was the Director of the National Network for Arab American Communities for seven years, where she created and launched the campaign to Take On Hate. Ms. Tonova has led a variety of policy advocacy and grassroots campaigns on immigrant rights, civil liberties and human rights, and civic engagement issues. She currently serves on the boards of Michigan United and Mothering Justice. She is a proud wife and a mother to three beautiful children.
Torres
Jamie Torres is the Deputy Director for the Mayors’ Agency for Human Rights and Community Partnerships (HRCP) and Director of the Denver Office of Immigrant & Refugee Affairs. She is responsible for the city’s immigrant integration work including policy, advocacy, research and partnership development. Her passion for community engagement and serving others has led to a more than 18-year career at the HRCP, where she has keenly focused on immigration integration strategies and helping to make Denver a welcoming place for all residents. Jamie is a native of Denver with a B.A. and M.A. in Anthropology.
Tidiane
Ahmed Tidiane is the co-founder of African Immigrant Relief, assisting African Immigrants with legal representation and community education; co-founder of Mauritania Care, providing after-school programs and job support; and a member of IRA-Ohio, providing support to the anti-slavery movement in Mauritania. In his day job at the Economic and Community Development Institute (ECDI), he works with the immigrant population. He speaks five languages: English, French, Arabic, Fulani and Wolof.
Thiam
Houleye Thiam is the President and founder of Youth and Hope Inc, which is a nonprofit 501c(3) organization that helps Mauritanian Children achieve their scholastic goals by providing them with schools supplies and a transportation stipend. She is also the President and co-founder of the Mauritanian Human Rights Network and a co-founder of the Mauritania Care, a local organization in Columbus, OH that advocates for and assists Mauritanian children locally with after school and cultural awareness programs. She holds two Master’s Degrees in Public Administration and Human Services, with a graduate certificates in Human Resource Development and Psychology.
Terry
Sabrina Terry is the Senior Strategist of the Economic Policy Project within UnidosUS’ Policy and Advocacy. Sabrina implements UnidosUS nation-wide pilots that integrate technology and financial products into direct services targeting low-income Latinos and immigrants. Terry also advocates for the adoption of best practices to create a more inclusive economic landscape for Latinos, including providing research and data analysis on the intersections of immigration policies, alternative data, and wealth opportunities in Latino households.
Teatro
Stephanie Teatro is Co-Executive Director of Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition (TIRRC), a statewide immigrant and refugee-led collaboration whose mission is to empower immigrants and refugees throughout Tennessee to develop a unified voice, defend their rights, and create an atmosphere in which they are recognized as positive contributors to the state. She is an executive committee member of the Fair Immigration Reform Movement (FIRM) and a board member of the National Partnership for New Americans (NPNA).
Tchume
Trish Tchume is Community Change/Action’s leadership program director. Trish leads Power 50, a leadership program launched in the fall of 2018 to train, support, and build community among women of color who are organizers in emerging and mid-trajectory leadership roles in our partner organizations. Power 50 supports leadership in organizations that serve communities of color, including the Fair Immigration Reform Movement (FIRM), the Black Freedom Collective (BFC), and each of our project issue areas. Trish served as inaugural Executive Director of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network, and as Network Organizer for Within Our Lifetime: A Network to End Racism.
