Rebecca Alemayehu is an immigration attorney and immigrant rights and human rights advocate. She has made it her life’s work to provide aid to the black immigrant community. She is the founder of the Alemayehu African Dream, the Habesha asylum seeker fund and the co-founder of the Habesha Dream campaign. Through her nonprofit, the Alemayehu African Dream (AAD), Rebecca facilitates the Black Migrant Clinic at the US-
Mexico border, providing humanitarian and legal assistance to black migrants. Additionally, through AAD, Rebecca travels throughout the US to various detention centers and provides pro bono representation to black asylum seekers.
