Esther Benjamin is Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of World Education Services (WES), a non-profit organization dedicated to helping international students and professionals achieve their educational and professional goals in the United States and Canada. Esther has been a global executive in the public, private, and civil society sectors for more than 25 years. Before joining WES, she worked with Laureate Education Inc., first as CEO for Africa Operations and CEO of Monash South Africa and then as SVP for Global Public Affairs. Esther served as Associate Director for Global Operations of the U.S. Peace Corps, and held senior roles with the International Youth Foundation and the International Partnership for Microbicides. Early in her career, she served as a UN Humanitarian Affairs Officer and was a White House Fellow. Esther holds master’s degrees in International Affairs and Applied Economics from American University.
