Beth Farmer

Beth Farmer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with three decades of experience working alongside marginalized and vulnerable communities. She led the effort to develop the first validated mental health screening tool for refugees that is now being used in more than 100 sites and seven countries (Refugee Health Screener-15). She has written numerous articles regarding cross-cultural mental health provision to individuals who have been forcibly displaced, including being part of the team that developed the new Center for Disease Control’s domestic guidance on mental health care for refugees. Beth is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Washington’s Global Health Department.
