Maria Alejandra Martinez Corral is the Workshop Coordinator of the Border Rights Project at Al Otro Lado (AOL). Alejandra manages the daily legal orientation program for asylum seekers at AOL’s Tijuana office, which serves up to 200 asylum seekers per week from 55 different countries speaking 15 different languages. Alejandra began working with migrants in college, providing resources to deportees, caring for unaccompanied children and single mothers, and offering services to vulnerable populations in various capacities. Before she returned home to help Al Otro Lado, she worked as a teacher and volunteer coordinator for 18 months at Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos in Nicaragua..
