Mariana Martinez
Mariana Martinez joined the office of Council Member Raquel Castañeda-López of Detroit District 6 in 2016 as the Chief of Staff, where she oversees teams, plans and directs strategy efforts, as well as administrative, financial and operational activities. Previously, Mariana worked as the Assistant to the V.P. Chief Program & Strategy Officer at The Kresge Foundation; as Program Director at Global Ties Detroit, coordinating professional and cultural exchanges for current and emerging global leaders; and as Deputy Director for IGESA, a not-for-profit organization in Paris. A native of Mexico City, Mariana is passionate about issues related to equity, social justice, and diversity.
