Zakaria (Zack) Mohamed is Black LGBTQIA+ Migrant Project (BLMP) Steering Committee Member and a Somali-born, Portland-bred, organizer, trainer, and movement strategist. Zack also organizes with Black Alliance for Just Immigration (BAJI), since Feb. 2017 Zack has been the LA Organizer for BAJI main areas of focus with BLMP and BAJI is to assist with building out a base and connecting the Black diaspora to liberation. Zack has organized around racial justice, immigrant/refugee justice, LGBTQ Justice, economic justice and gender justice as Audre Lorde said, “there’s no such thing as a single issue struggle, because we do not live single issue lives.”
