Steve Tobocman
Steve Tobocman has launched innovative nonprofit enterprises in community development, immigrant economic development, and other arenas for more than two decades. Since 2009, Steve has spearheaded Global Detroit, a regional economic development organization. In partnership with Welcoming America, Steve has led the Welcoming Economies (WE) Global Network, a regional network of local immigrant economic development initiatives. From 2003-2008, Steve served as State Representative, representing one of the state’s largest immigrant communities, ending his tenure as the House Majority Floor Leader. Steve co-directs the Michigan Political Leadership Program, one of the nation’s premiere bipartisan political leadership training programs.
