Dan Vicuña

Dan Vicuña provides legal, policy, communications, and coalition support for Common Cause state organizations in their campaigns to implement redistricting reform. On the litigation front, he manages Common Cause and ally amicus briefs for cases seeking to protect citizen-centered redistricting reforms, advance challenges to gerrymandering, and other redistricting cases. Cases have included Arizona State Legislature v. Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission, Evenwel v. Abbott, and Rucho v. Common Cause. Dan has extensive experience working in support of voting rights and on political advocacy and candidate campaigns. Dan has a law degree from American University and a B.A. in political science from UCLA.
