Luis Gonzalez
Luis Gonzalez joined Jewish Family Service in October 2018. He is the Interim Co-Executive Director of Immigration Services. His focus is on pro bono legal service programs and works closely with Interim Co-Executive director who oversees or Migrant Shelter in San Diego, California. Luis immigrated to the United States when he was 13 years old. Luis has a personal understanding of what it is like to be an immigrant in search of a better life and a safe place. Luis has over 10 years of experience working with immigrant communities and in immigration law. Before joining JFS, Luis worked as an immigration attorney at other nonprofits who provide immigration legal services. During law school, Luis intern at the International Organization for Migration, a United Nations agency, in Geneva, Switzerland. Luis has also conducted legal trainings and technical support to other attorneys and pro bono legal service providers around the country.
