Liza Ryan Gill
Ms. Liza Ryan Gill is Executive Director and re-founder of the Hawai‘i Coalition for Immigrant Rights, organizing more than 30 organizations to advocate at the federal, state and county level for immigrant/migrant communities. From 2016- 2019 she held the position of Director of Organizing at the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition where she oversaw the involvement of 130 grassroots and service providing organizations at all levels of government. Ms. Ryan Gill holds an MA in diplomacy and military studies from Hawai‘i Pacific University. Before, after and, during her undergraduate studies in intercultural studies and language from the University of the Nations, Amsterdam, Ms. Ryan Gill spent seven years traveling through Europe, the Middle East, and Africa doing humanitarian work in refugee camps and post-conflict settings. She loves taking her kids to visit her homeland in Vancouver, BC and paddling outrigger canoe.
