Sarah Syed
A Houston native, Sarah Syed serves as the Organizing Manager for Woori Juntos. Through her work, voter engagement in Houston and surrounding counties across Texas has turned out more than 30,000+ Pan-Asian and Latine voters in less than two years. She is actively engaged in policy areas of language accessibility, emergency disaster preparedness, and health equity. She drives community organizing efforts to redress systemic health disparities, particularly within im/migrant and refugee populations by addressing root causes. Previously as a mediator, Sarah focused on inclusive capacity building for restorative dispute resolution. Her international aid work with refugee women, children, and infants has been highlighted in the TIME: Finding Home Series.
