San Juana “Juani” Olivares
San Juana “Juani” Olivares is the President & CEO of the Genesee County Hispanic and Latino Collaborative (GCHLC). When the Flint Water Crisis, Juani left her position as the Executive Director of the Flint Hispanic Technology Center to lead ongoing efforts to find clean water that does not require documentation to obtain; canvass Flint's East side where most of the Hispanic/Latino population lived; research information on lead; set up Health Clinics for the people of Flint to receive free blood testing; and speak with local, state and federal government officials and national organizations, including in New York and DC.
