Conchita Cruz
Conchita Cruz is a Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director at the Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project (ASAP), a membership organization of 600,000+ asylum seekers from 175 countries living across the United States. Her work with ASAP has been featured in The New York Times, The New Yorker, NPR, and The Today Show. Conchita brings over a decade of communications, policy, and legal experience. She previously served as a Deputy Chief of Staff to then-U.S. Congressman Jared Polis; Chief of Staff for New York State Senator Gustavo Rivera. Conchita also served as a law clerk to Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga in the Southern District of Florida. Conchita has a degree in International Studies and Latin American Studies from Brown University and a law degree from Yale.
