Sarah E. Lowe
Sarah E. Lowe is the Director of Narrative Research + Evaluation at Define American and a Ph.D. candidate in Community Health with over 25 years of experience in narrative strategy. Her work examines systems of oppression, even within social good constructs, and advocates for Radical Healing as a force for lasting change. Sarah spent the first ten years of her career in corporate storytelling for Disney, The Discovery Channel, PBS, and others. In the past 15+ years, she has focused on advocacy that heals storytellers and moves lay audiences to action, primarily around immigrant communities. Sarah is a former undocumented immigrant, wife of an immigrant, and mother to two plucky bicultural kids. She believes that stories are both science and magic, uniting people in powerful and transformative ways.
