Riki Conrey, PhD
Riki Conrey, PhD, is the Principal Scientist at Harmony Labs where she leads a team of technologists and researchers to answer storytellers' questions about how to connect with and move their audiences. She holds a PhD in Social Psychology and has two decades of experience describing audiences, their motivations, interests, and needs, to storytellers, communicators, and policymakers. On projects like the Butterfly Labs, the Chrysalis Lab, and others, she has worked to answer immigrant thriving advocates' complex questions about how to craft messages, stories, and narratives by creating innovative research designs employing existing media data and new data collection. Over the years, Dr. Conrey has researched immigration, gender justice, health equity, democracy, and boating safety, but she is most grateful for what she's learned about what storytellers need to know and how they can make meaning from her research.
