Mikaela Santos
Mikaela Santos is the daughter of Filipino immigrants and serves as the Senior Program Manager of State and Local Strategic Initiatives at World Education Services (WES). In this role, she oversees two nationwide programs supporting communities in developing and implementing economic inclusion initiatives for immigrants and refugees: the SIIP Demonstration Opportunity and the Office of New Americans (ONA) State Network. Prior to joining WES, Mikaela held roles at various nonprofits, research centers, and school districts, specializing in data analysis and project management. She earned a master’s degree in Social Science from the University of California, Irvine, and a bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology and Politics from New York University. Originally from Southern California, Mikaela spent many years in New York before returning to her home state, where she is now based in Oakland.
