Alvaro M. Huerta
Alvaro M. Huerta works to defend and advance the rights of low-income immigrants and their family members through litigation, advocacy, and community education. His practice includes impact litigation on due process, equal protection and civil rights, and challenging anti-immigrant federal and state legislation and administrative actions. He also helps state and local advocates ensure that immigrants and their families can obtain access to health care, housing, and economic support. He is committed to racial justice and lawyering from a movement-building perspective. He is the proud son and grandson of immigrants from México.
